LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An act of kindness has gone a long way at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken in Little Rock.
The business was packed on Tuesday after singer-songwriter Jelly Roll announced on his social media he’d be covering everyone’s meal that day.

General manager Justin Haley said every table was filled.
“The line was down the hall, out the door and to the stop sign down there,” Haley described.
He said the crowd caught him by surprise.
“I saw the post he made and then literally it was like 30 minutes, it didn’t take long for it to reach around,” Haley said.
He said they served about 400 people with the total coming up to nearly $19,000. The singer also left behind a tip of more than $7,000.
“He blessed every employee here. He made sure that they were generously taken care of for their time and what they did here,” Haley said.
Shantell Miller said she’s grateful for the artist’s generosity.
“A difference for me with the blessing because I’ve got bills and kids, so it definitely helped me,” Miller said. “We don’t have a lot of people who come and do that.”
Employees at Gus’s Chicken are sending a huge thank you to Jelly Roll and are wishing him luck on his tour.
